Socrates started his life as an athlete early on, playing both football, basketball and wrestling in high school. After graduating from high school, Socrates join the military, where a certain level of fitness was not only an option, it was required. He served in the U. S. Marine Corp, and upon his return from Afghanistan, he decided to get his personal training certification. Soon after he began working as a personal trainer at Bally Total Fitness. "I always loved helping people achieve their goals, both inside and outside the gym," Socrates explains. While looking for ways to expand his knowledge of personal training and fitness, he came across a CrossFit website.
Immediately after he tried CrossFit for the first time, he knew that his next challenge was to master the sport. Once he felt he had a grasp on the Fundamentals of CrossFit, he decided the next step was to begin coaching. Upon receiving his CrossFit Level 1 Certification, Socrates quickly found himself partnered with the team that now owns and operates both CrossFit Muscle Farm Locations Among his virtues, Socrates credits his ability to quickly build solid relationships with members, something few people can rival: "If you’re not making someone else's life better, you’re wasting your time."
