Head Olympic Lifting Coach
Pablo Roman is a former Olympic weightlifter for the Cuban national team; he began weightlifting at 13. His weightlifting career spanned almost 20 years, during which he won several national titles as both a 56kg and 60kg lifter. Once Pablo saw that his weightlifting career was coming to an end, he decided to move his family to Miami. Upon his arrival in Miami, he continued to drive his passion for fitness by working for Miami-Dade County Public Schools as a coach and physical education teacher. Pablo worked for them for over 10 years, and was recognized with the Teacher of the Year award.
In 2012, along with his business partners and his son Yandy, Pablo decided to open CrossFit Muscle Farm to continue developing his career in health and fitness. Currently, Pablo is the Head Coach of the Olympic Weightlifting Program at both CrossFit Muscle Farm locations. His athletes have won several state and national titles, and his team was awarded "Best Male Team 2014" by the Florida Weightlifting Federation. Through his training programs, Pablo coaches athletes both locally and remotely. His most notable athlete is Olympic hopeful, Leo Hernandez, who is training to make the 2016 US Olympic weightlifting team. Pablo states that CrossFit changed his life forever by giving him the opportunity to rekindle his love for a sport that he thought he had left behind. Pablo is extremely passionate about weightlifting, and he loves sharing his knowledge with his athletes.
