Kalei was born and raised in Upstate NY. She graduated from SUNY University at Buffalo with her B.S. in Psychology and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. In August of 2014 Kalei made the move to sunny south Florida.
From the age of 4 Kalei has been an avid athlete; 17 years of indoor and outdoor soccer, countless summer softball leagues, Varsity Track & Field and Cross Country. During college, Kalei played Division One rugby and also ran Division Two Cross Country for Le Moyne College prior to transferring to Buffalo where she competed in Club Football, Cross Country, and Track.
After graduating, Kalei spent a lot of her time in the typical "globo gym”, but after a lifetime of organized sports, she quickly became restless. A friend introduced her to CrossFit in Buffalo, "I remember my first day, my heart was in my stomach, but after my first class, I was hooked”.
One of Kalei's best attributes has been competitive spirit; always pushing to beat her own personal records and those around her. She loves the constant challenge that CrossFit offers and always looks to better herself.
Kalei's main focus at CrossFit Fort Lauderdale is with our 6-week Challenge athletes. She helps these athletes discover their love for health and fitness.
"When I walked into Crossfit Muscle Farm over two years, I never considered going anywhere else. The energy that emanated from the gym was amazing. I went from knowing no one, to referring to these people as my family and best friends."
